circa 1824, with 30 1/4in. twist iron barrel rifled in seven grooves and signed 'E. BAKER & SON' at the breech-end, applied fore-sight, fixed standing notch rear-sight, London proofs, break-off breech, slightly curved, radiused plain lock, walnut full-stock (repair at wrist) with brass furniture, patch-box to right side of butt, brass heel-plate engraved '43' on the top-spur, raised cheek-piece, slotted ramrod channel, original iron ramrod and stirrup swivels
